We need a truck, but it doesn't have to be this cool.
The house we will renovate for a temporary home until we can build the children's home.
Our car, it has been a good car, but it won't survive mountain life. We need to replace it with a truck.
It has been a great year for us, and we are much further into our vision then we expected to be by this time. We had set a list of goals which looked like this.
1. Establish a temporary base (rented house).
2. Establish a support base that covered basic living costs monthly.
3. Find a property for permanent base, and begin fund raising for it.
4. Purchase land and fund raise to build a house for the children's home.
5. Replace old car with a newer truck (ute for those who speak Australian).
6. Begin agricultural projects to supplement children's home support.
7. Register a foundation with the Thai government.
8. Raise a happy family of adopted children and help them find success.
9. Expand the ministry to wherever God leads.
Since we have made a decision to move to land owned by Anchalee's family, this list has been shortened.
Steps one and two were completed earlier. And now steps three and four have vanished because instead of needing to buy a piece of land and starting a building project, we can now use they money that was raised for the land (because the land is now free) and put it towards renovating the existing house (which is also free). And since we have already begun implementing step six; step five (the truck) has now become extremely important.
We are moving to a remote location and our old car (92 Hyundai Excel) just isn't suitable to be our new farm vehicle. And since we are going to start the renovations in a week, there is a sudden need to have a pickup truck (ute) as soon as possible. We don't need a new model, but we do need something tough and dependable.
So we are calling on our friends new and old to see if this is a project they can help us with. If you want to help, you can contact me through the site on the contact page (link).
Very soon we will be able to move through steps seven, eight, and nine. Some parts of step seven are already coming together, and we will have some news about that early next year. Step eight is also underway, obviously, as we already have had three children join our home. And step nine is up to the Lord.
God is doing a quick work here, and we are excited to see how things are moving forward. Thanks again to all our friends who have joined their hearts to this project and have become joint heirs of blessings in the age to come.
Keep it real, and whatever you do, do the right thing.
